Forehead lines

Forehead Lines are wrinkles/deep lines that can be visible at rest but are also more prominent when making facial expressions such as lifting your eyebrows up or looking ‘surprised’. The major cause of forehead lines is the use of the muscle that lifts the eyebrow (frontalis), therefore causing wrinkles across the forehead. They also become more prominent with age as the skin loses elasticity and collagen.

Botulinum toxin (a prescription only medication) is injected into the muscles that cause the wrinkles in the above area mentioned. This blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles so that the muscles are paralysed. This then allows the skin to rest from movement and reduces or diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

There is 3 types of Botulinum Toxin licensed to use in the UK with the brand names: Boucouture, Azzulure and Botox. At Nee’s Aesthetics we use Botox, made from the pioneers in creating the Medical Aesthetics Market: Allergan.

• For anti-wrinkle treatments: A consultation is required by the practitioner and nurse prescriber. Please contact us directly to book this using the ‘contact us’ form and please do not book in for a consultation via the website- this is for dermal filler treatments.

• A £30 non-refundable deposit is required prior to securing an appointment slot. This will then be taken off the price of the treatment on the day for you to pay the remaining balance. This can be paid via cash or card. If you prefer to bank transfer or use PayPal, then the remaining balance will need to be paid 24 hours prior to your appointment.

COVID- 19 :

• If you or anybody in your household have any symptoms of the coronavirus do not attend the clinic under any circumstances and inform us as soon as possible.
• Please wear a facemask to your appointment, obviously if we are treating the lower face this will have to be removed.
• Please attend your appointment alone and arrive on time, the waiting room will be out of use until further notice.
• We have hand gel dispensers available for your use upon entry
• The ‘2-metre’ rule will apply where applicable
• Please keep your belongings to a minimum
• We are unable to provide drinks during this time so please feel free to bring your own
• Upon arrival if you call us or press the ‘room 4’ buzzer we will come and collect you from the door and take you directly to the treatment room.
• PPE will be worn as per usual with an addition of eye protection during treatments.
• Nee’s Aesthetics is run by a medical professional who receives up to date training in infection prevention and control, and due to the nature of aesthetics, the strictest cleanliness protocols have always been followed therefore everything else will remain the same.
